"Activity Showcase: Tai Chi Club Launched with Successful Inaugural Event" 2025年03月10日

On March 7, the Tai Chi Club was officially established and successfully held its first Tai Chi learning session. Led by Deputy General Manager Chen Yong, five participants, including Wu Rui and Liu Zongshuan, immersed themselves in the unique charm of Wu-style Tai Chi.

At the start of the event, Deputy Manager Chen introduced the historical origins of Wu-style Tai Chi and its distinctive value in health preservation, providing participants with a foundational understanding of this traditional martial art.

Following this, Deputy Manager Chen guided participants in adjusting their breathing, relaxing their bodies and minds, and taught them the "Five Principles of Tai Chi Practice": calmness (jing), gentleness (qing), slowness (man), precision (qie), and perseverance (heng). He elaborated on the profound meaning behind each principle, emphasizing that "calmness" nurtures the heart, "gentleness" refines the body, "slowness" fosters enlightenment, "precision" ensures accuracy, and "perseverance" sustains progress. Deputy Manager Chen explained that, as beginners, participants would start with a 16-form routine to gradually master the essence of Tai Chi.

During the demonstration segment, Deputy Manager Chen showcased the first set of movements. His graceful and fluid execution, embodying the rhythmic beauty unique to Tai Chi, drew admiration from all attendees. He then broke down each movement step-by-step, offering detailed explanations and patiently correcting participants’ postures.

Through this inaugural session, participants not only gained an introductory grasp of Wu-style Tai Chi techniques but also deeply appreciated the philosophical wisdom and life philosophy embedded in the practice. Tai Chi is not merely a martial art but a way to cultivate the mind, refine character, and contemplate the essence of life. All attendees expressed eagerness to further explore the intricacies of Tai Chi in future sessions, aiming to integrate its principles into their daily lives and experience harmony and balance in both body and spirit.
